HEAL YOUR HEAD, HEAL YOUR BODY, HEAL YOUR LIFE by Guest Blogger Tobin Blake, Author of THE HEALING OF JORDAN YOUNG
By Publicity Admin
Do you believe in miraculous healings? When his doctors told him he was going to die, the first thing I said to my friend Jordan Young was, “With love, all things can be healed.” The cancer, which started in his lymph system, had by this point choked his lungs with dozens of tumors that spread out in a stranglehold of death. He was just a kid — eighteen

In our world, sickness seems like the natural course of the body, but it doesn’t have to be. It may be hard to believe, but health is actually the body’s natural state. It is sickness that is unnatural. In order to heal or remain healthy, you don’t really need to do anything. Without interference, your body will automatically settle into a state of balance and wellness. When you become ill, what you really need to figure out is what has gone wrong.

CULTIVATING A LOVE FOR LIFE by guest blogger Rick Heller, Author of SECULAR MEDITATION
By Publicity Admin
A couple years ago, I started noticing flashes of light when I was in a darkened room. My eye doctor said I should visit a specialist right away because it could be a sign of a detached retina, which can lead to blindness. I tried to settle my emotions by being “in the moment.” Nonetheless, I was quite agitated by the time I reached the ophthalmologist’s office.

The medical assistant called me in. She tried to retrieve my record on the computer. It wouldn’t come up. She apologized and said she would have to take notes by hand. She was clearly irritated. I decided to do an abbreviated loving-kindness meditation, offering her my best wishes. Silently I said something like:

I’d like you to be safe
I’d like you to be healthy
I’d like you to be happy
I’d like you to be at ease in the world

A Talk with Evans Lansing Smith, editor of ROMANCE OF THE GRAIL by Joseph Campbell
By Publicity Admin
Throughout his life, Joseph Campbell was deeply engaged in the study of the Grail Quests and Arthurian legends of the European Middle Ages. In Romance of the Grail: The Magic and Mystery of Arthurian Myth, editor Evans Lansing Smith collects Campbell’s writings and lectures on Arthurian legends, including his never-before-published master’s thesis on Arthurian myth, “A Study of the Dolorous Stroke.” These writings capture the incredible stories of figures such as Merlin, Gawain, and Tristan and Iseult and explore the larger patterns and meanings revealed in these myths. Calling the Arthurian romances the world’s first “secular mythology,” Campbell found metaphors in them for human stages of growth, development, and psychology. His infectious delight in his discoveries makes this volume essential for anyone intrigued by the stories we tell — and the stories behind them.

We hope you’ll enjoy this short interview with editor Evans Lansing Smith about Romance of the Grail.
