7 NEW WORLD LIBRARY AUTHORS FEATURED IN “THE 100 MOST SPIRITUALLY INFLUENTIAL LIVING PEOPLE IN 2018”
 

Watkins Books is a unique mind-body-spirit bookshop that was established in 1893, making it the oldest esoteric bookshop in the United Kingdom. Watkins is also the publisher of Watkins Mind Body Spirit magazine, which presents an annual list of “The 100 Most Spiritually Influential Living People.”

According to Watkins, “This list is meant to serve as a positive guide to some of the leading modern teachers that are alive today, and we hope that you are as inspired as we are by their impact.

We are very happy to celebrate these seven New World Library authors who have received this honorary distinction in 2018:

#4. Eckhart Tolle, author of The Power of Now, Stillness Speaks, and Practicing the Power of Now, offers profound yet simple teachings that have helped countless people throughout the world find inner peace and greater fulfillment in their lives.  

#11. Deepak Chopra, author of The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success and Creating Affluence, is one of the pioneers in the field of mind-body medicine.

#21. Alice Walker, author of Hard Times Require Furious Dancing, is known throughout the world as a prize-winning fiction writer and essayist as well as an activist for the rights of all humans and someone who will speak her mind no matter what the cost.

#22. Matthew Fox, author of A Way to God, Meister Eckhart, Christian Mystics, and The Hidden Spirituality of Men, is a preeminent scholar and popularizer of Western mysticism. He became an Episcopal priest after being expelled from the Catholic Church by Cardinal Ratzinger, who later became Pope Benedict XVI.

#62. Dan Millman, a former world-champion athlete and college professor, is the author of numerous books, including Way of the Peaceful Warrior, The Four Purposes of Life, and The Creative Compass.

#72. Steve Taylor, author of The Leap and The Calm Center, is a senior lecturer in psychology at Leeds Beckett University in the United Kingdom.

#95. Mantak Chia, coauthor of Emotional Wisdom, is the leading teacher of Taoist chi kung in the West.
