Description
From Eckhart Tolle’s New York Times bestseller The Power of Now, this elegant set of 50 cards distills the book’s core teachings into an accessible tool for practicing presence and meditation.
For nearly thirty years, The Power of Now has changed how millions of people view their minds and the nature of existence, opening them to the life-altering power of presence. More than 20 million copies later, Eckhart Tolle’s central message — that our suffering is the product of straying from the present moment — remains as plain and life-altering as ever.
To help readers put this concept into daily practice, this deck, back in print for the first time in years, gathers fifty of the book’s most direct and practical messages onto individual cards, organized into five categories:
- The Power of Being Present
- The Joy of Being
- Rising Above Thought
- The Power of Now
- Portals to the Now
Some cards encourage practice: “Try a little experiment. Close your eyes and say to yourself: I wonder what my next thought is going to be. Then become very alert and wait for the next thought.” Others, like Zen koans, are designed to arrest your mind midthought: “Forget about your life situation and pay attention to your life. Your life situation exists in time. Your life is now. Your life situation is mind-stuff. Your life is real.”
