Estelle Erasmus

Estelle Erasmus, an award-winning journalist, writing coach, and in-demand speaker, has written for over 150 publications, including the New York Times, the Washington Post, AARP: The Magazine, AARP: The Girlfriend, AARP: The Ethel, Next Avenue, Newsweek, the New York Daily News, the Independent, HuffPost Personal, Good Housekeeping, Insider, Marie Claire, Wired, Vox, Salon, and more. She has been editor in chief of five national glossy magazines, with a combined reach of over ten million readers, and a former guest editor for Narratively. She hosts the Freelance Writing Direct podcast, covering tips, tricks, and strategies on writing, craft, and creativity. She is an adjunct instructor teaching writing courses for NYU’s School of Professional Studies/Center for Publishing and Applied Liberal Arts, wrote the All About the Pitch column for Writer’s Digest, teaches for Writer’s Digest University, and is a judge for the magazine’s personal essay contest. She has appeared on Good Morning America and Fox 5 News with Ernie Anastos and has had her articles mentioned on The View.
