Dr. Israel Regardie has been hailed as one of the most important figures of twentieth-century healing and mysticism. He was born in London in 1907, and first traveled to the United States in 1920. He wrote seventeen books between 1932 and 1972; his most voluminous work, The Golden Dawn, is a monumental study of Western magical ritual. The Art of True Healing is considered to be his most brilliant and concise work on the powerful effects of focused meditation.
He was a therapist and chiropractor as well as a writer, practicing a form of psychotherapy based on the work of Dr. Wilhelm Reich.
